Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team, providing expert guidance to clients on state and local tax matters.

As a Tax Professional at RSM, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax services to clients, utilizing your expertise in state and local tax laws and regulations. Your primary focus will be on state income and franchise taxes, but you will also have regular exposure to sales and use taxes, gross receipts taxes, employment taxes, credits and incentives, and due diligence reviews.

• Deliver profitable SALT services to clients, utilizing firm and client resources effectively
  
• Provide timely and high-quality tax advice and consultation to clients, enabling them to increase shareholder value
  
• Research and resolve technical state and local tax issues
  
• Prepare technical memoranda, matrices and other client deliverables
  
• Manage tax assignments and related projects
  
• Plan and coordinate the flow of information with clients
  
• Review work papers and state tax returns
  
• Participate in the billing and collection process
  
• Identify opportunities for providing additional services to clients and market technical specialty or expertise to clients
  
  
  Basic Qualifications:
  
  
  • 
    
  • CPA, CMI, JD or LLM required
    
  • BS Degree in Accounting
    
  • 5+ years of current or recent experience in public accounting or corporate tax department
    
  • Familiarity with researching state tax laws and regulations
    
  • Strong communication and writing skills
    
  • Tax compliance experience/background a plus

    Compensation Range: $97,200 - $183,700
    
    Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
