ability to directly apply your knowledge of materials, structural
analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
As a member of an engineering and design team, you will work on a
range of industrial, power, oil and gas facilities.Project
responsibilities will include creating calculations, document
designs, and specifications. Additionally, you will be conducting
structural analyses, which include loading conditions such as wind,
seismic, blast, and pressurization.You will be responsible for
guiding junior-level engineers and designers in structural
engineering design efforts, including providing guidance with the
coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of
structural engineering work.Your responsibilities will include, but
are not limited to:
- Leading the Mechanical Engineering design efforts for a team of
junior and senior engineers and designers.
- Working on challenging assignments that include investigating,
troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of mechanical
engineering issues.
- Acting as the Mechanical team lead in the coordination of
detailed design phases for all aspects of mechanical engineering
work.
- Developing integrated systems designs and performing supporting
calculations for the planned work.
- Preparing technical specifications for mechanical engineering
equipment.
- Preparing engineering studies.
- Performing independent reviews of work performed by others
including calculations and drawing preparation.This position will
offer you the opportunity to work as a lead engineer in a project
team environment involved in the design, modification, and analysis
of electrical systems for projects ranging from existing plant
retrofits to new generation installations.You will be involved in
power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications
for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related
installation services needed to support the projects.Assist project
manager in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily,
on time, and within budget.Coordinate systems design activities to
ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications,
codes, and client requirements.Prepare and review functional design
drawings including single line diagrams.This position will offer
you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of transmission
line engineering including conductors, hardware, insulation,
structures, foundations, and electrical principles to:
- Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
- Perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice,
framed, and guyed structures.
- Perform foundation designs.
- Perform conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding, and
induction studies.
- Develop cost estimates and schedules and prepare specifications
for the procurement of transmission line materials and
construction.
- Specify transmission line components.
- Model transmission lines in PLS-CADD, determine right of way
requirements, calculate conductor sags, and develop transmission

Supervisor to join our team! The position's responsibilities
include the following:
- Supervising a team of highly skilled Accounts Payable
Specialists.
- Preparing year-end 1099 tax forms for vendors.
- Working with A/P team to ensure timely and accurate processing
of vendor invoices, including invoices in foreign currency.
- Ensuring that commercial invoices are processed accurately and
in a timely manner.This position will offer you the opportunity to
work on major systems, equipment, and plant processes in the
following areas:
- Perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear
industry.
- Interface with clients and project teams to present technical
discussions and project status.
- Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
- Manage resources/resource loading and develop estimates for
task completion and budget development.
- Review calculations related to heat balances, power train
pumps, heat exchangers, condenser/heat sink, and plant hazards to
support client recommendations and reviews.
- Review task reports.This position in Sargent & Lundy's
Consulting group will require you to focus on our utility planning
and advisory projects, such as the following:
- Preparing new generator interconnection applications, including
development of conceptual single line diagram, verification of
compliance with reactive power requirements, and development of
PSS/E model to support the applications.
- Reviewing ISO feasibility and system impact studies to provide
guidance to our clients, who are ISO Interconnection
Customers.
- Performing independent power system studies, mostly on thermal
and voltage contingency analyses, to support our client's generator
interconnection planning strategies.
- Performing advanced grid system studies to evaluate specific
scenarios and impacts as required by our clients.
