Fairview is hiring an X-ray Technologist to join our Radiology
department at our M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital location in
Woodbury, MN.
The Hospital Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients
and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic
imaging in a hospital setting. Responsible for providing quality
age-appropriate patient care for inpatients and outpatients
according to established standards of practice and works
collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The
hospital radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures,
surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general
x-ray performed in the hospital. Provides assist in the opening of
the supplies/equipment for surgical and special procedure cases as
well as responding to codes, trauma activations and other emergent
needs for imaging in an acute care environment.
Schedule: This position will work a 0.6FTE (48 hours every 2
weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours. Typical work schedule
will be Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 7:30AM and 4:00PM.

Maintains patient care standards
Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care
professionals
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent
information during all aspects of service
Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient
positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits,
scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely
manner
Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and
archiving
Participates as an active team member
Orients and mentors new employees and students
Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement
initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure
current knowledge required for position
Cleans and maintains rooms, equipment and supplies
Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to
ensure high quality care
Actively contributes to a positive work environment and the
productivity of the workgroup
Correctly operates equipment according to standards, policies, and
procedures
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment
is working properly
Maintains a high level of competency
Master's new technology and equipment as it's introduced into the
facility
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required
Demonstrates Commitment to Customers, Fellow Employees and
Fairview
Required:
ARRT Certification/Registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire from American Red
Cross or American Heart Association
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree
3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
Advanced Imaging modality certification
Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a
period of time):
Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health Regulatory
requirements
Knowledge of quality control and safety standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications:
$36.94-$53.35 / Hourly
