Department Overview
Our float team is an integral part of nursing services and provides
a valuable resource to the entire Children's Minnesota St. Paul
Campus. Float team members apply skills in a number of areas and
are extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and flexible with the care
they provide and units they support. Our nursing care team consists
of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit
operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support all
medical surgical areas as well have the option of choosing the NICU
or the PICU track (including the ED and PACU), while Unit
Operations Coordinators and Clinic Support Associates hired into
this area would support all of the floors on the St Paul
campus.

Position Summary
Coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants,
children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process.
Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing
functions and delegated medical functions performed in
collaboration with other health team members.
THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.
Education Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Current Minnesota RN licensure.
* Current BLS certification.
* Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional
certification(s) may be required. Department specific required
qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of
employment.
* Current Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and
Stabilization (PEARS) certification required or obtained during
orientation.
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on
salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or
national market. When determining individual pay rates, we
carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not
limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills,
education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate,
internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for
medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be
eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
