Team within Food Supply Chain means being relentlessly focused on
how we can optimize our temperature-controlled network to become
more cost-effective and improve the guest experience.As a Director
F&B Supply Chain - Project Management, you will be responsible
for supporting the strategic growth and increased reliability of
Target's distribution network by developing and leading a team of
project managers tasked with opening new nodes and supporting the
implementation of automation and capital projects at our existing
sites.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the physical activation of projects in support of the
transformation of the Target Supply Chain, responsible for
delivering project scope on time and on budget.
- Create an environment where Team Members can develop their
skills and careers through taking on increased responsibility and
adding value to the organization.
- Mentor peers and junior team members on business processes,
storytelling, and influencing through others.
- Work with cross-organizational teams to develop project plans
based on engineering project lifecycle phases.
- Provide project level inputs to cross-functional teams and
program management.
- Lead the management of all project documentation and provide
regular and accurate status updates with attention to details.
- Lead cross-organizational efforts to deliver a consistent
customer experience for project management and delivery.About you:
- 7 or more years of combined experience in material handling,
automation, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or distribution and
logistics industries.
- Proven project management experience implementing multi-million
dollar, complex capital equipment & systems.
- Ability to quickly connect and build relationships across
leaders and organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence senior
leaders.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with
demonstrated ability to manage several complex projects at the same
time with high degrees of variation and uncertainty.
- Candidate must be capable of working with little or no
supervision or direction.
- Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all
organizational levels.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent judgment and
decision-making skills under conditions of exceptional
uncertainty.
- Proficiency with standard project planning software
applications.
- Ability to travel up to 50% (varies by project phase).Preferred
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Familiarity with material flow methodologies.
- Experience with facility layouts and construction.
- Experience with distribution and/or logistics process flows and
operations.
- Experience with lean, six sigma, & other continuous improvement
concepts and methodologies.
- Project management professional "PMP" training.This position
