Mid-Level Electrical EngineerPOWER Engineers is currently seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to work with our Government Services Division. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of an engineering team engaged in engineering design projects in the Government market including mission-critical infrastructure design to include power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.Excellent communication skills, presentation skills, motivation, positive attitude, and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently will be core skills for the successful candidate. Our Department is growing and the successful applicant will play an important role in the development of a sustainable electrical department with staff filling roles at all experience levels. The applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints.Technical responsibilities include creating and issuing construction drawings and specifications, studies, and reports, as well as demonstrating good working design knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation, low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage substations, and UPS systems. Applicant must have excellent knowledge of and experience applying the NEC, NFPA standards, ICC standards, UFC documents, energy codes, and applicable IEEE standards. Experience with modeling electrical systems and running power system studies using ETAP, PTW, or EasyPower is strongly preferred. The position prefers candidates who are licensed professional engineers in electrical engineering.Disclaimer: The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
• Knowledge and experience with federal government projects
• Five plus (5+) years of applicable experience in the design and specification of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems and lighting systems for federal buildings, industrial buildings, and site distribution
• Ability to work with other engineers, designers, and drafters and to take direction from senior engineers
• Ability to self-perform all electrical engineering tasks associated with the project: design, engineering calculations, cost estimating, drawing creation, client reviews, and construction support
• Ability to work with other discipline leads, PMs, and others across multi-discipline teams
• Ability to mentor junior electrical engineers and designers
• Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change
• Successfully manage project scope, schedule, and budget
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel domestically and internationally, and must work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment
• Must be a US CitizenDesired Education/Experience
  • Professional Engineering License with the ability to be licensed in multiple states
  • Experience designing to NAVFAC and USACE design standards
  • SpecsIntact specification authoring and editing experience
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
  • Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects.
