Job Description:

Join our team as a Senior Design Construction Engineer, where you will have the opportunity to delve into various aspects of Civil Engineering, spanning steel, concrete, timber, and geo-structural design. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this role offers involvement in the bidding, plan development, and construction phases of projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Designing falsework to support temporary structures
  
• Developing designs for temporary bridges to facilitate construction access
  
• Designing hydraulic systems for both vertical and horizontal travel requirements
  
• Creating designs for cofferdams and other soil retention systems
  
• Conducting bridge analysis for construction equipment and demolition procedures
  
• Ensuring stability during steel/concrete beam erection through bridge analysis
  
• Designing wood/steel formwork for concrete slabs and walls
  
• Analyzing lifting equipment including hoists and rigging
  
• Conducting analysis and designing safety systems
  
• Assessing barge stability under loading from construction equipment
  
• Providing clear construction and shop drawings using CAD
  
• Collaborating with project teams from planning through ongoing support phases
  
• Partnering with the Safety Team to enhance methods and address safety concerns
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
    
  • Professional Engineer certification required
    
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels, internally and externally
    
  • Proficiency in developing accurate and thorough construction plans in partnership with Project & Field teams
    
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and address potential issues promptly during construction phases
    
  • Experience with structural design software such as Visual Analysis, IES Programs, Earth Retention software like DeepEx and ShoringSuite, and CAD tools like Microstation preferred
    
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    
  • Strong leadership abilities
    
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
