PayNDT 1 Technician Job SummaryProvide technical expertise to a
variety of nondestructive testing industries. --These industries
include structural steel, manufacturing, machining, power
generation, and petrochemical. --The services provided by the NDT
Department are performed to the standards of industry including
AWS, ASME, ASTM, API, AISC, and UBC as well as state laws governing
professional services. --All services will be performed in
accordance with AST's QA/QC procedures. The NDT Technician will
have an important role in developing the expertise and efficiency
of the NDT department. --Perform MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT
examinations. --Interpret results and prepare reports documenting
results. --Maintain certification in MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT
inspection techniques.Maintain current procedures and equipment
calibrations for the NDT department.Maintain client contact for
ongoing projects and interface with the NDT manager to prepare
proposals, schedule laboratory and field testing activities.
--Assist coordination of full-time and intermittent field projects
by AET personnel, including reporting and invoicing.Maintain client

activities. --Assist in the promotion and marketing of AET and the
NDT department.Training to obtain and maintain certifications.
--Stay abreast with current NDT technologies utilized by
AET.Conduct field, laboratory and office activities in a manner
consistent with federal, state, and local regulations, along with
AET's QA and Health and Safety Policies, to promote the safety and
protection of employees, clients and the public.Ability to interact
successfully with a wide variety of people, work effectively within
project teams, resolve issues and problems in a constructive
manner, and work independently in the field.--Qualifications and
Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent
required.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
required. ----Preferred SkillsAssociate Degree in Non-Destructive
Testing Technology or Welding Certification is a plus--Pay
Transparency--Base compensation is expected to be in the range of
$20.29 and $25.38 per hour based on skill set and experience. AET

job primarily operates in a field environment in outdoor conditions
on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather
conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such
as computers, phones, and photocopiers.-----------While performing
the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk
or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use
hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The
employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and
stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to
50-100 pounds. The employee will occasionally push or pull
equipment weighing up to 200 pounds. The employee is required to
frequently work outside.--- Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
